What you get

  • One link

Viewers paste your .m3u8 address or a small M3U file into Hectic TV once. It’s there every time they open the app.

  • Your logo, your schedule

Add a logo and group name in the M3U, and publish an XMLTV schedule viewers can add for Now & Next.

  • On the big screen

AirPlay sends it to the living-room TV, or viewers can watch in Hectic TV on Apple TV.

  • Together, apart

SharePlay lets housebound members and family watch the same moment over FaceTime.

  • In their language

The app speaks 37 languages, with a calm, simple interface that’s easy for every generation.

  • Respects your viewers

No accounts and no data collected, so there’s nothing to sign up for.

Up and running in three steps

  1. Stream to any service that gives you an HLS (.m3u8) address.
  2. Publish that link, or a short M3U file, on your website or newsletter.
  3. Viewers download Hectic TV, add your link, and watch.

A playlist your viewers can add

Save this as stream.m3u on your website, replace the addresses with your own, and share the link. Viewers can also add your XMLTV schedule address for Now & Next.

Questions

Does Hectic TV host or list our stream?

No. Hectic TV is a player only. It doesn’t host, list or promote streams; your viewers add your link themselves.

What format do we need?

HLS (.m3u8). RTMP, RTSP and UDP aren’t supported, so share the HLS playback address from your streaming service, not your ingest address.

Does it cost viewers anything?

The free version plays one playlist, which is enough for your stream.

Hectic TV is a media player only. It does not include, sell or recommend any channels, playlists or streams; the only content it offers itself is five openly licensed sample films and public-domain titles from the Internet Archive. Add only content you have the right to watch.
