Does Hectic TV come with channels?
No. It's a player. Add the M3U playlist, Xtream login or Jellyfin server you already have the right to watch.
Which devices does it work on?
It's one app for every screen. Today: Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch from the App Store, and any web browser on Windows, Linux and Chromebook. Coming soon: Fire TV, Google TV, Android, Roku, Samsung and LG. Their buttons on this page switch on the day each store approves them.
Is it the same app everywhere?
Yes. Same name, same layout, same remote buttons, so if you can use it on one TV you can use it on all of them.
Do I have to type long links with the TV remote?
No. On TVs that show a QR code, scan it with your phone and paste your details there. On Apple TV you can type with your iPhone's keyboard.
My Fire TV won't install the APK. Why?
Some newer Fire TV Sticks run Amazon's Vega OS, which blocks APKs and Downloader. Check Settings → My Fire TV → About: if it doesn't say Fire OS, use the Amazon Appstore version.
Is the APK safe?
Only download it from hectictv.app. We publish the SHA-256 checksum next to every file so you can check it.
Will it look right on my 4K or 8K TV?
The app reads your screen's resolution, HDR and refresh rate and picks the sharpest stream your provider offers that the TV can show.
What data do you collect?
None. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your library stays on your devices.
