How to add an
M3U playlist.

An M3U playlist is a list of streams. It can be a web link ending .m3u or .m3u8, or a file.

01 — Steps

Do this.

  1. Open Home → Add your TV → M3U Link, or M3U File for a file.
  2. Paste the address. You can leave out http://.
  3. Add a TV guide address if you have one (see the EPG guide).
  4. Tap Add. Big lists keep importing in the background.

If it doesn’t work.

    Nothing loads

    Open the link in a browser. If it doesn’t download a list, ask your provider for a fresh link.

    Channels won’t play

    The stream may be offline or region-locked by the provider.

    What’s the difference between M3U and M3U8?

    M3U8 is the same format saved as UTF-8 text, so names in any language show correctly. Hectic TV reads both.

    Does Hectic TV include channels?

    No. It’s a player only. Add playlists you have the right to watch.
